Easy and Handy Launching
and high degree of safety during transport
Brenderup offers a quite unique roller system for boat trailers which ensures easy and handy launching and especially recovering as well as a high degree of transport safety on the road.
Brenderup has 40 years’ experience and knowhow with roller systems for boat trailers. The roller system has been developed, optimised and designed for modern sports- and power boats.
The design of the Brenderup boat trailers has been done in close cooperation with leading Scandinavian boat manufacturers.
Therefore Brenderup provides exactly the rollers which a boat trailer should have
The boat is in optimal position on the trailer when it rests on the keel rollers, supported by the side or super rollers.
Many people hold the opinion that to support a boat in the optimum way, a boat trailer must have a lot of rollers. In fact, this is not true. On the contrary, it is important that the boat is supported at the correct spots.
To save weight and to optimise the sailing properties and the speed of the boat, sports and motor boats are designed with ”paper-thin“ GRP hulls. The entire strength of the boat lies in the keel, and exactly here a strong GRP layer is added, and therefore the keel is the bearing part of the boat.
For the below reasons a boat must always be standing on its keel
In consultation with the boat manufacturers, the Brenderup boat trailers are designed for the boat to stand on its keel, slightly raised above the mudguards.
For very flat-bottomed boats it may be necessary to mount a keel roller extension bracket (optional equipment) or a step keel kit (optional equipment) on the rear keel roller section to make the boat rest on its keel.
When the boat is rolling on the keel rollers, the force required to haul-up the boat is the least, and also the strain on the hull, the coupling hook, etc. is minimised.
When the super roller system of a boat trailer is optimised to fit the boat, the strain on the hull by recovering and launch is minimised
The Brenderup super roller system follows and adapts itself to the boat during launch and recovering. The rear super roller section is mounted on a tiltable cross member which adapts to the boat angle when the boat is rolling on to or down from the trailer. This largely contributes to limiting the required force and strain during haul-up or launch.
When the boat is recovered, the profiled keel rollers easily capture the stern of the boat and guide it all the way on to the trailer.
Once the boat has been rolled part of the way on to the trailer, the super rollers start supporting the hull. The side rollers then support the boat when it has been positioned on the trailer.
The Brenderup super roller system increases the safety during transport
The super rollers provide the max. support for your boat during transport. They support the hull and ensure that the boat rests safely on the trailer.
Never compromise the traffic safety and ensure that your boat is well lashed to the trailer during transport.
Rib boats must rest on their keel. Watch out for too long ”overhang”
Rib boats are high-speed sports boats which can easily be transported on a boat trailer.
As the hull of a ledge boat is designed of light weight material, and as at the same time it is often equipped with a large motor, it is important that the “overhang” is short, i.e. the max. distance from the rear keel roller to the stern of the boat should be 80 cm.
Larger “overhang” will increase the risk that the hull will get banana-shaped.
